The main goal of ASEF is to award annual educational scholarships to indigent, hardworking and brilliant undergraduates of recognized and accredited Nigerian universities. ASEF, according to the Trustees of the foundation, focuses on awarding scholarships that are “needs based”. This means that the Trustees evaluate each application to determine requirements for financial assistance towards the completion of an undergraduate degree.

Other objectives of the Foundation include:

• Generate, solicit and receive financial and other resources from private and public institutions to support the execution of ASEF’s activities;

• Collaborate with institutions and organizations at the local, state, national and international levels whose objectives are aligned with ASEF
